A huge congratulations to Madeline Hepler on her purchase of FF Evita!
2012 Holsteiner Mare (Cormint/Landgraf/Carneval/Lord), 16.1h. Barn name “Evita.”
Evita is a 2012 mare with a lovely jump. She is a terrific candidate for the international jumper ring, having shown scope and temperament for the top of the sport. Evita is a sensitive and intelligent mare who is forward thinking without being anxious or difficult to manage. She is brave to the jumps (and jumps anything and everything on the first go whether she’s seen it before or not – including open water and literally any other thing you can think of to jump a horse over) and is overall an uncomplicated horse who does not bolt, buck, rear, or spook. Her thought process and mind set are an absolute asset for the big jumper ring and she would be a fabulous mount for someone looking for a horse to take them into the International ring and be wickedly competitive. Her petite size (16.1 and very refined) would also make her ideal as a U25 mount for a junior. Extremely well-bred, she could also be an asset to a breeding program. Maternal sister to Peter Wylde’s Quo Vadis horse who was shown successfully in the 1.60m jumpers. Priced in the 6-figures.
Evita was imported from Germany in February 2017 shortly after being started under saddle. Despite being started a year late and not jumping her first courses until April of 2017, she caught up with her peers within just a few months over fences and finished her first show season (2017) with many double clear rounds in the 1.10m Jumpers and top finishes/wins in the YJC and Maplebrook 5yo Young Jumper classes (1.10m – 1.20m). Finished out the 2018 show season in the 1.30m 6yo Maplebrook Young Jumper Finals class. Showed in the 1.30m YJC classes in 2019 with wins under her belt.
Post pandemic, Evita stepped into the 1.40m with blues in her first efforts. Just this last season (June 2022) she took 2nd in the Cascade Horseshow $5,000 Whittier Trust Grand Prix with a clever double clear round. Schooling 1.45m+ at home with scope for more.
This mare is extremely attentive to everything going on around the ring, but has zero spook, an absolute warrior mentality, and an extremely clever mind. She is the epitome of the horse who will “go to battle” for you. And I mean “go to battle”…..you could chip every single jump in a 1.40m course and she would bail you out at every fence with a smile on her face and her ears happily forward. Check out the 1:01 mark in the Spring Nat’l 1.30m video 2 videos below. I put her to the worst amateur “flyer” moment and she not only bailed me out (and was clean over the 1.30m liverpool oxer I made her jump from 10 feet away), but was rideable and rateable on the backside, allowing me to bring her back for the next fence, and won the class with a clear and fast round. This mare’s goal in life is to get a “good girl” out of her rider in every single situation!
